The group
LGI stands for LBC – GM – ITM. We have driven furniture to and from Denmark since 1977. ITM Spedition originally chose furniture transport as a niche, and two years later GM Transport started its operations based on the same concept.
In 1998 the two companies merged to form GM-ITM. The resulting company was 100% owned by LBC Sweden AB, which in 1990 had bought the shares to GM Transport. LBC was owned by ASG, which later changed its name to Danzas and then to DHL.
On 1 st of October 2005, LBC and GM-ITM were sold to LITORINA Kapital.
The 1st of April 2009, LBC and GM-ITM were sold to AXCEL.
Today the group operates traffic routes to and from all the western European countries, and we now have our sights set on the new EU member countries in eastern Europe. In addition, we are experiencing strong growth in furniture transport from the Far East for distribution in Europe.
The group currently employs 303 people in our departments in Tibro, Herrljunga, Lahti and Horsens. In 2008 our turnover was approximately DKK 500 million. |
